Like a boss
It was Saturday night. I was lying in my bed doing this, when I heard the cat meow. Now, the cat is not the most vocal cat, and only meows on occasions he is demanding food, or having a frustrating moment with lizards he couldn't reach, or telling me to stop carrying him.
I got off bed, and walked out of my door and found the cat standing in front of it.
He ran off and I followed him.
He stopped at the litter box that we've placed in the middle of the stairs, somehow twitched his ears towards it, turned his body towards me and stopped.
"Oh you want me to clean the litter box?" I asked.
His eyes said yes.
He continue standing there steadily, until he saw me fetching the newspapers to wrap the soiled litter in.
Like a boss, this one.

Spreading LOL Wisdom, one kitteh at a time.

The results of insomnia. I fired up photoshop because I couldn't get to sleep.

Black Cat
A cat as black
As blackest coal
Is out upon
His midnight stroll,
His steps are soft,
His walk is slow,
His eyes are gold,
They flash and glow.
And so I run
And so I duck,
I do not need
His black-cat luck.

Maru the Cat!
My daily fix would used to be the wonderful Baobao & his funny poses, but the poor boy passed on in October 2008.
Imagine my joy when I found Maru the Cat's Blog! I've found my Scottish-Fold fix, and now I'm sated :)

Add this cutie to your RSS Readers, cat lovers :)
P/S: Maru is famous for "shoving itself into small spaces" on youtube :P

Presidential Cat

Socks was Bill Clinton's cat. He stayed in the White House during Clinton's term as the President of US, and never got along with Clinton's Labrador Retriever, Buddy.
"Socks despised Buddy from first sight, instantly and forever." Bill Clinton said, "I did better with the Palestinians and the Israelis than I've done with Socks and Buddy."
Such a personality!

My contribution to "Citizen Journalism"
Singapore's Messiest Online News Source has this category called "Singapore Seen" , where registered users of the site are encouraged to submit photos/videos of interesting sightings. It's an interesting idea, this Citizen Journalism thing, and with our country's Telcos offering mobile phones with inbuilt camera/video function for cheap (if you sign a two-year contract with them la), it isn't that difficult to play our part.
Somehow, some people over at Singapore Seen seem to take cheap shots (pun intended, really) at unaware individuals. Hormonal teenagers cuddling la, dangerous Malaysian driver la, guy who never give up his seat on LRT la. Which goes to show our non-confrontational behavior in Singapore: most of us don't dare to voice out our unhappiness, but choose to scream-scream-shout-shout over the Internet instead.
But it's not nice la! I swear I wouldn't want to see some picture of me drooling while dropping asleep on the bus ride home or video of a drunk-me doing my version of a dance, what's with the high probability of both of that happening. Embarrasing la dey!
But here's my contribution to the world of bad Citizen Journalism anyway.
Below is the picture of the stupid fecker who jaywalked across Jalan Besar Road. Wah lao almost got knocked down you know.

Act cute somemore. I told him (yes it's a him, he has balls) "Next time be careful la!".
Well yes I talk to stray cats. I'm weird that way la.

Slit-Eye Kitty
I'm Chinese and you can blindfold me with a shoelace. Slit-eyes: the over stereotyped physical trait of a Chinese person which I happened to be blessed with, and also the target of jokes from friends with much bigger eyes, despite being Chinese as well.
Stupid Question #01
Audrey: So do you see half of what we see with those eyes?
Me: No. Feck off!
Na bei. You can never hear the end of it from that woman.
Audrey loathes the Serious Cat and thinks that Serious Cat's eyes were photoshopped on. She thought she could do a better job.
Here's a picture of a Scottish Fold cat, photoshopped with my terribly small eyes, courtesy of Audrey. Thanks, ah.

LOLCAT Art Submission
In case you all don't know yet, (if you care enough anyway, you fecking kaypohs) Icanhascheezburger's one of my favorite websites at the moment. The website's subject? Cats, one of my more favored animals, despite being a "stupid animal who only comes to you when it needs something from you", to quote from a friend.
Well, Artists & fellow Artists-Wannabes like myself, here's something you should be interested in. They're calling for LOLCat Art Submissions! They're accepting 2D, 3D or animation work as well.
Dateline for Proposal Submission: September 19th 2008 (They said 11:59PM. Timezone not indicated, but I assume it's them Americans' timing)
Selected Artists will be informed by: September 25th 2008
Artwork Submission for chosen Artists: Friday, October 17th 2008
It'll be much better if you go to the website for more details.
I've already have an idea for a digital illustration. YAY. Will carry out illustration, whether or not the proposal gets chosen. More of that soon!

Silly Obsession

Audrey think Serious Cat is FUGLY. Yeah it looks kinda weird, really. But it sure makes me giggle if I look at it for more than 2 seconds.
So I guessed Serious Cat = Joke = Oxymoron.
I've already printed it out and it's over my bed. Does loads to my mood! You all should try it too.

Bargains from across the world
So The Mother just returned after spending 3 whole weeks in England for a holiday, at my cousin's house. She's jetlagged, but still found enough time to shove little gifts in my face before going to sleep her way back to our timezone.

The little guy above cost only 1 Pound! Brilliant find! The Mother also bought a million other stuff, like a 50 Pence wallet, a 2 Pound Bag, etc. Most finds from a push-cart or something. A true Singaporean knows where to find her bargains in any part of the world, it seems.
