I'll do anything for you, anything you want me to! - Backstreet Boys
I'm never gonna say goodbye, Cos I never wanna see you cry - Westlife
You're an angel in disguise. - some Singaporean singer called Jae.
Goodbye, cheesy lyrics. Goodbye, over-promising words. You sure you'll do anything for me or not? How about getting me La Mer cream?
Thank the heavens for Flight of the Conchords to bring a balance to the cheesiness. Thank goodness for more self-deprecating, realistic lyrics.

My Ireland Song

A plug on one of the projects I've worked on: well, now you know what I do :P
My Ireland Song is, well, a song. Written by a German guy, it's a love song for his wife, and his love for Ireland, the place where he had a new beginning in his life.
Alongside with St. Patrick's Day celebrations, My Ireland Song is free for download until 23:59 PST (+8), so even if you're Singaporean, you still can get it till 4pm today :)
Happy St. Patrick's Day, everybody! Yes, even though the only Irish person I know shares the same bed as me on certain sleepless nights. And that would be her.

Fitter, Happier

Somebody made an animated clip of Fitter Happier, Radiohead song from OK Computer: I admit I never really paid full attention to particular album, except for the more popular songs such as the Paranoid Android, Karma Police, until now.
A sample of the lyrics:
Fitter, happier, more productive,
comfortable,
not drinking too much,
regular exercise at the gym
(3 days a week),
getting on better with your associate employee contemporaries ,
at ease,
eating well
(no more microwave dinners and saturated fats),
a patient better driver,
a safer car
(baby smiling in back seat),
sleeping well
(no bad dreams),
Okay, fine. Those are hardly "lyrics", but really a collection of various guidelines of leading a better life (thus the title Fitter Better),presented through the symbolic robotic chanting, accompanied by moody repetitive piano sounds. Ah, we've all became robots following a buncha instructions.
Kinda reminds me of the "Choose Life" chant from the movie Trainspotting. Yeah, Choose Life, Choose a job. Choose a career. You heard that one before I guessed.
