My friend Deng (that's my nickname for her) thinks I'm a faithless, God-defying idiot. Yes, maybe. And she has taken the liberty of text-messaging me a phrase from the Bible daily ever since last year. It's like subscribing to one of those SMS-services I didn't ask for, but I appreciate her efforts for being that messenger, if that Someone is really trying to tell me something.
Today's message says "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom (Prov 9:10)".
Oh shucks. You know what I'm afraid of? I'm afraid that I'll become that bible-touting girl who'll approach complete strangers to spread the Word.
